Investment in Azerbaijan's economy up 8%

Investment in fixed capital in Azerbaijan made 11.774 billion manats (over $6.93 billion) from January through October of this year, marking an 8.2% growth over the same period of 2021, Report informs, referring to the State Statistical Committee.

Over the past year, investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 13.5% and in the non-oil-and-gas sector increased by 23.8%.

During the reporting period, 6.585 billion manats ($3.87 billion) or 55.9% were made in production, 4.457 billion manats ($2.62 billion) or 37.9% in services, 731.6 million manats ($430.35 million) or 6.2% in housing construction.

Domestic funds made up 9.043 billion manats ($5.32 billion) (76.8%) of the funds directed to fixed capital and construction and installation work amounted to 8.664 billion manats ($5.1 billion) (73.6%).
