The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is expected to keep its key interest rate unchanged at 6.5% throughout 2026 and 2027, according to analysts at Dutch financial group ING.
According to Report, ING forecasts that the central bank will maintain the benchmark rate at its current level before cutting it by 50 basis points to 6.0% in 2028.
The outlook follows the CBA's latest monetary policy meeting on June 24, when the regulator decided to leave the key interest rate unchanged at 6.5%.
The central bank held eight monetary policy meetings in 2025, leaving the rate unchanged at six of them and lowering it by 25 basis points on two occasions.
The CBA has also scheduled eight policy meetings for 2026, with the next review of the interest rate corridor set for July 31.
