The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects a 2.2% economic slowdown in Azerbaijan this year, Report informs, citing IMF Regional Economic Outlook: Middle East and Central Asia for April 2020.
The IMF forecasts 0.7% of economic growth in 2021.
Moreover, according to the IMF, the consumer prices index will be 3.3% in 2020, 3.2% in 2021.
The IMF thinks that the ratio of fiscal balance to GDP will drop by 12.8% in 2020, 9.7% in 2021. The ratio of the current account balance to the GDP is expected to fall by 8.2% and 3.7%, respectively.
