IMF downgrades its forecast for US GDP growth in 2024 to 2.6%

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has adjusted its forecast for US GDP growth in 2024 downward to 2.6%, reads the July update to the IMF report on the prospects for the development of the world economy, presented in Washington, Report informs.

In the US, projected growth has been revised downward to 2.6% in 2024, reflecting a slower start to the year than expected, reads the document.

This is 0.1 percentage point less than the forecast presented in April 2024.

At the same time, the forecast for 2025, compared to April, remained unchanged at 1.9%.
