Gold traded at almost $1,830 per ounce

Gold dropped slightly on Thursday morning and is traded at little below $1,830 per troy ounce, Report informs, citing the results of the trading. The prices are buoyed by the weakening of the dollar.

The price of the February future for gold at New York's Comex grew by $3.1 or 0.17% to $1,828.5 per troy ounce. The March futures for silver rose by 0.33% to $24,273 per ounce.

The dollar index dropped by 0.21% to 103.94 points. The dollar depreciation traditional supports the demand for gold, making its more affordable to buy in another currency.
