Gold prices hit their highest since December 13

The price of gold rose above $2,700 per troy ounce - for the first time since December 13, Report informs referring to trading data.

The price of February gold futures on the New York Comex exchange increased by $9.39 compared to the previous close, or by 0.35%, to $2,700.19 per troy ounce.

March silver futures rose by 0.48% to $31.165 per ounce.
