The GDP per capita in Azerbaijan increased 2.9 times during 2004-2022, and the country was among the 29 countries in the world that managed to reduce the poverty level below 5%, Deputy Minister of Economy, Sahib Mammadov, said during the 2nd SDG Dialogue on “Towards 2030: socio-economic inclusion in Azerbaijan,” Report informs.
According to him, this was achieved due to the implementation of successful structural-institutional reforms, State Programs on poverty reduction and economic development in Azerbaijan in 2003-2005 and 2008-2015, 4 state programs in the direction of socio-economic development of regions, Azerbaijan - 2020: Look into the future Development Concept: “In 2010, Azerbaijan left the group of countries with the status of "medium human development" and entered the category of "high human development."
