EU and G7 countries freeze €30,000 assets of entrepreneurs from Russia

The countries of the European Union and the Group of Seven (G7) have frozen the assets of Russian entrepreneurs worth 30 billion euros, European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders said on Friday, speaking at the New Economy forum in Madrid, Report informs, citing TASS.

During this time, it was possible to freeze 14.6 billion euros [from the funds] of oligarchs in Europe, he specified, adding that together with the G7, this is 30 billion euros.

The 300 million euros in reserves of the Central Bank of Russia were confiscated there, the European Commissioner said.

According to Reynders, the assets of entrepreneurs from the Russian Federation were frozen in the amount of 41 million euros in Spain, and 3,000 euros in Hungary.
