Central Bank of Turkey posts increase in foreign exchange reserves

The foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Turkey grew by 8.9% or $9.709 billion last week to reach $118.265 billion, the bank said in a statement.

Report informs, citing Turkish media, that gold reserves are responsible for $40.308 billion of all foreign exchange reserves, marking a decline of 0.2% or $78 million from the previous week.

In the reporting period, reserves in various leading currencies rose by 14.4% or $9.786 million to $77.956 billion.
