The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) plans to present the green finance taxonomy before COP29, CBA Chairman Taleh Kazimov said on the 4th day of the Baku Climate Action Week, Report informs.
According to Kazimov, various presentations will be held for the banking sector throughout the year.
The chairman noted that new guidelines for the financial sector were introduced this year: "In particular, new guidelines have been prepared for banks. The main goal here is to regulate financial risks. Banks must mandatorily implement ESG requirements in their strategies, business models, corporate governance strategies, and risk management policies."
