Central Bank of Azerbaijan gets new deputy chairman

Aliyar Mammadyarov has been appointed the deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, according to the decree signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Mammadyarov was born in Baku in 1977. Since 2001, Mammadyarov has been working in various positions at the Central Bank. Since May 2016, he has served as Advisor to the Chairman of the CBA. From 2017 through 2019, he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF).

In February 2012, he was awarded the Tereggi medal for services to the development of banking.
