Central Bank approves Sustainable Finance Roadmap of Azerbaijan

According to the decision of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Board, the Sustainable Finance Roadmap covering 2023-2026 was approved to transform the financial sector into sustainable finance, Report informs, referring to CBA.

The purpose of the roadmap is to ensure the resilience of financial institutions against risks arising from climate changes and other ESM (environmental, social, and management) factors, as well as to realize the opportunities arising from the transition to sustainable economy.

According to the information, in general, the implementation of the road map will serve the formation of a healthy, stable, and effective financial sector in the country.
