Structural changes have been implemented at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Report informs, citing the CBA.
According to the bank, the Department of Supervision over Credit Institutions has been dissolved and two new departments have been created on its basis. These are the Department of Banking Supervision and the Department of Supervision over Non-Bank Credit Institutions. Samir Rzayev has been appointed as director of the first department, and Khayyam Ismayilov as director of the second department.
Rzayev has previously held the post of the director of CBA's Financial Monitoring Department, and Ismayilov has been the head of division in the dissolved Department of Supervision over Credit Institutions. Orkhan Abdullayev has been entrusted with the leadership of the Financial Monitoring Department.
Additionally, the Department of International Cooperation and Communication has been created at the CBA. A director has not yet been appointed to this position.
At the same time, Fuad Sabziyev has been dismissed from his position as director of the Payment Systems and Settlements Department.
