Baku Stock Exchange turnover down 20%

The total value of transactions on all financial instruments of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) for January-October this year amounted to 10.466 billion manats ($6.16 billion), decreasing by 19.7% from the previous year, Report informs.

Over the past year, the number of concluded transactions has decreased by 18.1% to 7,559.

State securities accounted for 5.617 billion manats ($3.3 billion), or 53.7% of the BSE turnover, 14.55% less than a year earlier.

The value of transactions in the corporate securities market increased by about 2.4 times to 993.3 million manats ($584.3 million) during the reporting period, and repo transactions went down 36.25% to 3,855.4 million manats ($2.27 billion).
