Azerbaijani banks concluded 1,530 deals worth 55.7 billion manats ($32.76 billion) on the Bloomberg trading system in the first half of this year, according to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan's (CBA) semi-annual Monetary Policy Review.
According to the document, the number of deals increased by 45.55% compared with the same period last year, while their total value decreased by 28.8%.
Overall, activity continued in the unsecured segment of the interbank market during the reporting period. Some 97% of these transactions had maturities of one to three days.
