The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the World Bank Group have discussed expanding sustainable financing sources, Report informs, citing the CBA.
The First Deputy Chairman of the CBA, Aliyar Mammadyarov, participated in a meeting with the President of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga, during his visit to the US.
The meeting was attended by representatives of organizations within the World Bank, as well as senior officials from central banks and finance ministries of member countries of the Constituency Group, which includes Azerbaijan.
During this meeting, which focused on critical topics from the global financial agenda, the importance of strengthening regional partnership and expanding sustainable financing sources was highlighted.
Banga also shared his views on the potential benefits and risks of expanding the application of innovative technologies, as well as artificial intelligence in various sectors of the economy, with the meeting participants.
Within the framework of the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on economic opportunities and challenges in the member countries of the Constituency Group.
Mammadyarov expressed his gratitude to the President of the World Bank for organizing the meeting and for his detailed response to the issues raised.
