Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov discussed the prospects of cooperation with World Bank's Country Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael, Report informs.
"During the meeting with the World Bank's Country Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael, we have discussed the fruitful cooperation with the WB, the execution of the joint projects, as well as new initiatives and prospects," the minister tweeted.
The information released by the Economy Ministry says that at the meeting, Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized the effective cooperation with the World Bank, the multifaceted nature of the relations, ensuring the stable and sustainable development of the country's economy, the diversification of the economy, the development of the private sector, and the increase of investments. The minister shared his views on the areas of potential cooperation with the World Bank, the directions of the institution's activities in Azerbaijan for the following years.
Sebastian Molineus, regional director of the World Bank for the South Caucasus, drew attention to the Bank's experience in the business environment, innovations, entrepreneurship development, and other areas, and emphasized that the Bank supports the economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan.
