Azerbaijan to establish centralized trading system in capital market

Measures to develop the capital market in Azerbaijan next year will be implemented as part of the relevant strategy to enhance the legal framework, form a modern market infrastructure, stimulate market participation and bring the regulatory framework in line with international standards, Report informs, quoting the statement of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) on the main directions of monetary and financial stability policy for 2021.

The securitization process to improve the legal structure in the capital market will support creating a regulatory framework in line with international standards for derivative financial instruments and repo markets and improve financial intermediation and thus introduce new and more sophisticated devices and services.

The establishment of a centralized trading system that meets modern standards to improve the operating environment in the capital market and work on the electronic registration of securities will significantly expand the market access of issuers and investors.
