Azerbaijan to allocate nearly $7M for maintenance of Chamber of Accounts in 2025

Next year, it is planned to allocate 11.5 million manats ($6.76 million) for the maintenance of Azerbaijan’s Chamber of Accounts, Chairman Vugar Gulmammadov said at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis, Report informs.

According to Gulmammadov, 57% of these funds are for conducting 56 control measures: "19% is for preparing 6 semi-annual and 1 annual report, 8% is for the state audit journal to be published 4 times, preparing 1 report, 1 information and 8 summaries, another 7% is for strengthening our international image, including implementation of 2 international projects, our participation in 14 working groups and increasing our internationally certified staff by 20%, and the other 7% is intended for various activities related to digital transformation and IT audit for the coming years."

Gulmammadov noted that these expenses cover the salaries of 197 employees of the Chamber of Accounts: "Taking into account the requirements of the 'Year of Solidarity for a Green World' determined by the head of state for the next year, press and office expenses have been reduced by 20%, the number of supplies to be purchased by 30%, and fuel and lubricant expenses by 5%."
