Azerbaijan sees nearly 3% growth in retail trade turnover

Retail trade turnover in January-February 2019 grew by 2.6% to AZN 5.5 billion, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, the sale of food products, tobacco and drinks amounted to AZN 2.8 billion, non-food products amounted to AZN 2.7 billion, up 2.3% and 3% respectively from the previous year.

A consumer bought AZN 279.4-good on average, which is AZN 7.8 higher than the previous year.

A consumer bought food products, drinks and tobacco worth AZN 140.9 on average, non-food products worth AZN 138.5 in the reporting period.
