In January 2022, 100.039 million manats of premiums were collected on voluntary insurance in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the bank, this figure is 18.85% more than in the same period last year.
During the reporting period, voluntary insurance payments amounted to 18.195 million manats, 8.3% less than a year earlier.
In January 2022, 9.4 manats were paid for every 100 manats collected on voluntary insurance. In the same period last year, this figure was 44.2 manats.
Last month, 20 insurance companies in Azerbaijan collected insurance premiums of 118.234 million manats, 13.7% more than in the same month of 2021.
The payments made by insurance companies during the reporting period amounted to 16.623 million manats, 3.4 times less than a year ago.
In January 2022, 14.1 manats were paid for every 100 manats of insurance premiums collected in the insurance market. In January 2021, this figure was 54.65 manats.
