Azerbaijan’s share in AIIB declines

Baku. 19 December. REPORT.AZ/ Share of Azerbaijan in The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) fell by 0.0005 percentage point to 0.2642%.

Report informs referring to the AIIB that this is caused by ratification of membership of Algeria, Ghana, Libya, Morocco, Serbia and Togo to the AIIB.

Azerbaijan’s voting right in AIIB has also fallen by 120 votes or 2.28% to 5,135 votes or 0.4545%, which means 0.0115 percentage point decline.

Azerbaijan’s nominal participation share in the bank remained unchanged at $254.1 million.

Membership of Algeria, Ghana, Libya, Morocco, Serbia and Togo to the AIIB was ratified today.

On June 29, 2015, 57 countries signed agreement on establishment of AIIB in Beijing. On behalf of Azerbaijan, the agreement was signed by Finance Minister Samir Sharifov. Azerbaijan’s membership was ratified on June 24, 2016.
