A total of 628 state bodies have already registered in the Public Audit Information System, created in Azerbaijan to digitalize public audit.
Report informs that Hilal Huseynov, an auditor of the Chamber of Accounts, said this at an event titled "Digital Public Audit for Sustainable Regional Integration," organized by the Chamber as part of the 51st Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
According to him, 17 types of reports are currently collected through the system, which has 1,082 active users.
"More than 100 criteria are used to analyze data. The system enables the electronic collection of information related to budget execution, the use of public funds, debt obligations and public procurement," Huseynov said.
He noted that the Chamber of Accounts plans to apply artificial intelligence technologies in public audit.
"At the next stage, artificial intelligence solutions will be integrated into the audit system, links with the information systems of state bodies will be expanded and remote audit capabilities will be created. These innovations will help detect risks early, accelerate audit processes and use resources more efficiently," Huseynov said.
