From January through August 2021, Azerbaijan produced gross domestic product (GDP) worth 54.73 billion manats ($32.21 billion), or 3.6% more than the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
The value added in the oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 1.2%, while in the non-oil and gas sector it increased by 5.7%.
According to the committee, 40.4% of GDP production came from the industry, 10.4% from trade; repair of vehicles, 7.2% - transport and warehousing, 6.5% - agriculture, forestry and fishing, 5% - construction, 1.8% - information and communication, 1.1% - tourist accommodation and catering, 18.4% - other fields. Net taxes on products and imports accounted for 9.2% of GDP.
Over the past year, the GDP per capita in the country increased by 18.5% to 5,466 manats ($3,217).
