Azerbaijan’s insurance market grows by 2%

In January-February 2019, Azerbaijan-based 21 insurers collected AZN 132.819 million in premiums, up 2.05% from the previous year, Report informs citing the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).

In the reporting period, the insurance payments amounted to AZN 33.116 million, down 18.2% in comparison to a year earlier.

During the reporting period, 24.9 AZN of insurance payments accounted for per 100 AZN insurance premiums.

In 2018, this figure was 31,1 AZN.
