Azerbaijan's economy grows by 1.5%

In January-May 2025, Azerbaijan's gross domestic product (GDP) made 50.1 billion manats ($29.47 billion), or 1.5% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, over the past year, the added value in the oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 3%, while the non-oil and gas sector increased by 3.9%.

Some 36.2% of GDP production was accounted for by industry, 9.9% by trade; repair of vehicles, 7% by transport and warehousing, 6.2% by construction, 4% by agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.8% by tourist accommodation and public catering, 1.8% by information and communication, 21.7% by other sectors, and net taxes on products and imports accounted for 10.4% of GDP.

The value of GDP per capita for 5 months was 4,896 manats ($2,880).
