Azerbaijan's CBA reveals remittance values for first 9 months of 2024

In the first nine months of 2024, $848.5 million was transferred to Azerbaijan from abroad, while $408.3 million was sent from Azerbaijan to other countries, Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), said during a briefing, Report informs.

According to Nasirov, these figures represent a 33.75% decrease in incoming remittances and a 1.6% increase in outgoing remittances compared to the same period last year.

He highlighted that the largest amounts of remittances to Azerbaijan came from Russia ($410.7 million), Türkiye ($130.3 million), the United States ($48 million), Georgia ($26.6 million), and the United Kingdom ($25.5 million).

For outgoing remittances, the top destinations were Türkiye ($118.1 million), the United States ($45 million), Russia ($44.3 million), Georgia ($36.1 million), and the United Kingdom ($22 million).
