No tax hike for entrepreneurs until 2025, Samira Musayeva says

The upcoming amendments to Azerbaijan's Tax Code in the coming year are not aimed at increasing the tax burden or complicating tax administration for any category of entrepreneurs, said Samira Musayeva, Deputy Chief of the State Tax Service under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, Report informs.

Speaking at an event titled "Cooperation with business associations and entrepreneurs and its results," Musayeva emphasized that the changes are designed to support the development of industrialization, expansion of the export-oriented service sector, improvement of Azerbaijan's position in international transportation, growth of the shipbuilding industry, promotion of automobile and bus production, attraction of investments through public-private partnerships, and increased energy production from renewable sources.

"Next year, based on the appeals we receive, a number of tax incentives will be adjusted to protect the interests of microentrepreneurs. These changes aim to further facilitate the activities of entrepreneurs," she highlighted.

Musayeva also noted that entrepreneurs operating in certain fields are now systematically communicating their interests and problems to government agencies.

"While during meetings with entrepreneurs in 2021, there was a noticeable lack of complete alignment between their positions, now entrepreneurs are consolidating their positions more closely. This is a great contribution not only for the entrepreneurs themselves but also for the state. Because entrepreneurs know and feel the characteristics and problems of the field better and more closely," she added.
