Azerbaijan may apply artificial intelligence in conducting assessments on the compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners, Director of Audatex Azerbaijan LLC Dashdamir Niftaliyev told Report.
He spoke about the relevant experience in the world:
“Audatex company forms its activity on the basis of artificial intelligence. For example, when an insurance event occurs, an SMS is sent to the customer, the customer uploads the pictures of the crashed vehicle to the system, the system determines all the damages in a few seconds and calculates the damage and sends it to the customer and the insurance company. That is, while previously the customer was waiting for the accident commissioner, creating a traffic jam on the road for several hours, artificial intelligence can solve the problem in a few seconds. Recently, a meeting was held regarding the implementation of this system in Azerbaijan. Currently, both the Central Bank and insurance companies are taking certain steps in connection with the unified assessment process in Azerbaijan.”
Niftaliyev said that the company he represents is taking steps in two directions to bring this system to Azerbaijan:
"One of them is that we negotiate directly with the regulatory body. The second way is taking steps with insurance companies, market participants, service centers, and independent appraisers. We show the capabilities of the technology to relevant institutions and insurance companies. They are also very seriously interested. The use of artificial intelligence in that international experience is expected to be applied in Azerbaijan as well."
