Azerbaijan completes 340 projects in liberated territories in H1

A total of 340 projects were implemented in Azerbaijan's liberated territories during the first half of the year, according to the Ministry of Finance.

Expenditures on these projects amounted to 1.06 billion manats ($623.5 million), representing 30.4% of the allocated funding.

Of the projects carried out in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur during the six-month period, 76 were related to transport, 36 to water management and land reclamation, 11 to energy and industry, 19 to defense and law enforcement, 182 to the social sector, and 16 to other areas.

Transport projects received the largest share of funding, with 505.2 million manats ($297.2 million) spent, accounting for 48% of planned implementation. Social projects followed with 400.5 million manats ($235.6 million), representing 23% of implementation.

The government also allocated 7.6 million manats ($4.5 million) to water management and land reclamation projects, 15.4 million manats ($9.1 million) to energy and industry projects, 60.3 million manats ($35.5 million) to defense and law enforcement initiatives, and 75.2 million manats ($44.2 million) to other projects during the reporting period.
