Azerbaijan, Belarus discuss expanding economic cooperation

Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Belarusian Parliament Vladimir Andreichenko met with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Belarus Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, Report informs, citing foreign media.

According to the report, Andreichenko said that the two countries can actively cooperate in the industrial and agricultural sectors: “I know that you have already got acquainted with agricultural products in Nesvizh region. There are also many areas where we can work in the fields of education, culture, sports and tourism. I think it would be great if we could prepare such a road map."

The ambassador said: “Relations between our countries are at a high level. In particular, the high level of trust between our presidents contributes to the expansion and deepening of relations. I have been in Belarus for the second month and I have had many meetings. I have visited the regions. At present, I am getting acquainted with the engineering and agricultural sectors, which are the priority areas of our bilateral economic relations. Despite the pandemic, trade between our countries is growing every year, and this year we have already reached new levels. I think that by the end of the year, the growth we plan will be in line with the pace set by our presidents."
