As of November 1, 2022, the assets of Azerbaijan-based banks amounted to over 44.660 billion manats (over $26.27 billion), up 27.7% from a year earlier, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The loans issued to customers amounted to 18.285 billion manats (more than $10.76 billion). Year-on-year, the loan portfolio grew 23.4%, and the share of loans in assets dropped from 42.4% to 40.9%.
In the reporting period, the liabilities grew by 30.6% to 39.230 billion manats ($23.08 billion), with the deposit portfolio rising by 34% to 32.192 billion manats ($18.94 billion). Individuals accounted for 11.256 billion manats ($6.62 billion), while legal entities made up 20.935 billion manats ($12.31 billion).
The liabilities of the banks to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) dropped by 27.4% to 268.6 million manats ($158 million), and net worth surged by 10% to 5.430 billion manats ($3.19 billion)
