A delegation of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) was on a working visit to Istanbul, Turkey, on February 7-8, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
As part of the visit, the delegation held various meetings at the Istanbul Research and Training Center under the Central Bank of Turkey, the training center of the Turkish Banks Association, the Turkish Insurance Institute foundation, and the Capital Markets Licensing Registry and Training Agency.
The sides held a broad exchange of views on the training and development in the financial sector of Turkey, the application of professional and qualification standards in the financial markets, the prospects for applying Turkish experience in Azerbaijan, and the possibility of further cooperation in these areas.
At a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Turkey Emrah Sener, the cooperation of the central banks of the two countries was highly appreciated. The sides discussed plans for the further expansion and intensification of cooperation and the possibility of implementing joint research projects in the field of financial innovation.
