Perhaps in the future, ATMs in Azerbaijan will be able to dispense coins, Deputy Director of the Lithuanian company BS/2 Kirill Ovsyannikov told Report.
He noted that there are certain projects and their implementation will become possible if commercial banks or the Central Bank of Azerbaijan apply on this issue:
“We have been cooperating with Azerbaijani banks since the mid-1990s. We want the banking sector in Azerbaijan to be more technological, practical, efficient, transparent and secure. ATM-related proposals come from our clients. When an offer is received on any topic, we are testing its technological applicability. Many ATMs in Azerbaijan belong to our company.”
As of January 1 this year, the number of ATMs in Azerbaijan increased by 3.1% compared to the same period last year and reached 2,997. Some 1,565 ATMs are installed in Baku.
