AGBank, Amrah Bank, Atabank, and NBC Bank, of which the Central Bank of Azerbaijan revoked licenses, have 74,100 insured depositors, Executive Director of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF) Tural Piriyev said at a press conference, Report informs.
According to him, these depositors have AZN 670.7 million in those banks: “This figure also includes uninsured deposits. Although the regulating body banned some banks from receiving deposits, they continued to receive deposits. Currently, we are observing the concern of citizens. I can yet say 17,000 depositors have AZN 144.9 million in Amrah Bank, 25,600 depositors have AZN 254.4 million in Atabank, 22,800 depositors have AZN 134.2 million in AGBank and 8,700 depositors have AZN 134.2 million in NBC Bank. To date, AZN 83.9 million has been repaid to 7,548 depositors on the four banks.”
