President of International Olympic Committee praises organization of 2nd European Games - EXCLUSIVE

"The 2nd European Games were organized at a high level. The European Olympic Committees (EOC) and the Minsk 2019 Coordination Commission have overcome this work, so we're glad," President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach said in his exclusive interview to Report, commenting on the second European Games "Minsk 2019". The 66-year-old German player said that the games were very good.

He paralleled between Baku 2015 First European Games and the 2nd European Games "Minsk 2019" and said that there is never a need to compare the two races: "Every race is different, it's unique. The European Games in Baku were very well organized. The race in Minsk was also good."

Notably, "Minsk 2019" covered June 21-30. The Azerbaijan national team ranked 10th with 5 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze medals in the tournament. Russia became the winner with 44 gold, 23 silver and 42 bronze medals. The 3rd European Games will be held in 2023 in Krakow, Poland.
