The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced that the French Alps will be a venue for the XXVI Winter Olympic Games in 2030, as revealed during the 142nd IOC session held in Paris on Wednesday.
Thomas Bach, the President of the IOC, declared, "Dear French colleagues, according to the decision of the IOC Session participants, the XXVI Winter Olympic Games will take place in the French Alps."
France's bid, which was the sole contender, showcases a project centered around the ski resorts nestled in the French Alps, complemented by the ice sports facilities in the coastal city of Nice.
