Up to 50,000 participants and tourists to visit Belarus during 2nd European games

Baku. 11 January. REPORT.AZ/ About 50,000 attendees and tourists will arrive in Belarus for the 2nd European Games 'Minsk 2019'.

Report informs citing the Belta that Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism at the Sport and Tourism Ministry of Belarus Vitaly Gritsevich made the statement at a press conference. As to him, nearly 18,000 officials are expected to visit the European Games: “Based on the analysis conducted jointly with the Organizing Committee, we assume that 30,000 tourists will also arrive in country."

More than 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in the 2nd European Games on June 21 - 30 for 199 sets of medals in 15 kinds of sport.  Only 10 out of 375 thousand tickets were sold out.

Notably, the 1st European Games were held in Baku in 2015.
