World Petroleum Council responds to letter from Ministry of Energy

The Director-General of the World Petroleum Council, Pierce Riemer, has sent a letter in response to the Ministry of Energy's appeal regarding the provocations committed by Armenia.

The letter said they were aware of the ongoing conflict in the region and its potential consequences, and the appeal was submitted to the President of the World Petroleum Council. The Director-General said that all National Committees of the Council would be informed about the current situation and supported Azerbaijan in this challenging period.

Notably, the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov addressed an appeal to the several international energy organizations reflecting the information on targeting Azerbaijan's oil and power infrastructure and called to condemn the provocations of Armenia.
