Ukraine to receive €300M from EBRD to restore energy infrastructure

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide Kyiv with a loan of 300 million euros to restore energy infrastructure facilities, the head of the board of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky said, Report informs via Ukrainian media.

According to Kudrytsky, the corresponding agreement was signed in Paris with the participation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso.

Approximately 150 million euros will be allocated for the repair of high-voltage infrastructure, substations and main power lines. In addition, the loan will help increase the financial stability of Ukrenergo and close all of the company's obligations.

A day earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked the participants of an international conference to help Ukraine get 12 billion euros to restore 50,000 energy facilities.
