Turkiye sets giant reservoir for Black Sea gas

Turkiye has installed a 280-ton reservoir for collection of gas from wells in the Black Sea.

Report informs via Turkish media that the Pecenek reservoir is at the depth of 2,200. The installation work took 20 hours to complete.

The reservoir will send fuel from wells through the major gas pipeline, making the Black Sea gas a little closer to the land, media said.

According to earlier reports, Ankara will invest around $10 billion in production and transportation of 0.5 trillion cubic meters of gas from Sakarya field. First supplies from the field are expected to start in 2023.
