In January-April 2025, Türkiye was the leading country among buyers of Azerbaijani gas, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani the State Statistics Committee.
Türkiye's share in the total volume of gas exports from Azerbaijan was 39.1%.
During this period, Azerbaijan exported more than 8.16 billion cubic meters of gas (+5.9%) worth $3.065 billion (+11.1%). Supplies were made to six countries - Italy, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Türkiye, and Georgia.
Türkiye, Italy, and Georgia were in the top three in terms of gas purchases from Azerbaijan. Türkiyen led by importing more than 3.19 billion cubic meters of gas (+0.1%) for $894.914 million (-11.1%).
Italy took second place with a 38.1% share. In January-April 2025, Azerbaijan supplied nearly 3.106 billion cubic meters of gas (+1.2%) worth $1.65 billion (+23.3%) to this country.
Georgia ranked third among the countries purchasing Azerbaijani gas with a 12.2% share. More than 995.336 million cubic meters of gas (1.8 times increase) worth $121.54 million (-24.3%) were supplied to Georgia.
