Solar energy in the Karabakh region will be collected and stored using panels produced by Turkish engineering, energy and electrical company Solitek.
Report informs citing the Anadolu Agency that the company, operating in Adana, exports energy storage panels and automation system software to Azerbaijan, which will be used at base stations to meet the solar energy needs of rural areas of the Karabakh region.
The panel, containing lithium iron phosphate batteries, will store the unused portion of the energy collected in sunny weather and power the base station at night.
Solitek, which won the tender about 2.5 months ago, has completed production of 25 of the 33 panels and automation systems that it has already sent to Azerbaijan.
