From January through August 2021, 23.331 million tons of oil were transported via Azerbaijan's main oil pipelines, 2.6% lower than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
The oil export via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline accounted for 74.7% or 17.435 million tons of the eight-month transportation, which is 8.6% less than a year ago.
During the first eight months of 2021, BTC also transported 2.214 million tons of transit oil, 19.9% less than a year earlier.
