SOCAR President meets Georgian Prime Minister

President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on April 30 as part of his working visit to Georgia.

Report informs, citing SOCAR, the meeting focused on the current state of cooperation in Georgia's gas supply and gasification, prospects for expanding the partnership, and several other issues.

Mahir Mammadov, General Director of SOCAR Energy Georgia LLC, also attended the meeting.

Notably, SOCAR Energy Georgia LLC has been operating in Georgia since 2006. During this period, the company has invested more than $ 1.2 billion in the Georgian economy and paid $ 1.7 billion in taxes to the state treasury. Today, the company serves more than 770,000 gas consumers throughout Georgia. 111 gas stations operate under the SOCAR brand in the country.
