About 1.2 million tons of oil and about 869 million cubic meters of natural gas have been processed at the oil refining complex of the Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR), Report informs, citing SOCAR's update on drilling, production, processing and export indicators in the second quarter of 2022.
According to SOCAR, gas processing increased by 6.1% compared to the same period last year.
During the quarter, SOCAR exported more than 403,000 tons of oil, petrochemical and gas chemical goods produced at its enterprises in Azerbaijan.
During the reporting period, the natural gas consumption in the country increased by 3% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 2.2 billion cubic meters.
The increase in the production volume of SOCAR Carbamid and SOCAR Methanol plants, as well as the increase in the level of gasification in the country caused the rise in gas consumption.
