SOCAR exported 2,300 tons of bitumen to Ukraine last month

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 2,300 tons of bitumen to Ukraine this March, according to the report of the consulting group “A-95”, Report informs referring to Ukrainian media.

The sea delivery was carried out by the Kantarell Ukraina company.

In March 2021, 24,900 tons of road bitumen were imported to Ukraine, which is almost four times more than in March last year (6,400 tons).

The largest volume of the resource was obtained from Belarus - about 55 percent in the total structure, which is 13,400 tons. Of this volume, 9,000 tons were delivered by road, and the remaining 4,500 tons - by rail.

The largest supplier of Belarusian bitumen was the Kantarell Ukraina company, which imported 5,200 tons.

Poland supplied 3,000 tons of road bitumen to Ukraine, which is two times less than in March 2020 (6,300 tons).

The volume of bitumen supplies to the Ukrainian market in 2020 amounted to a record 1.18 million tons, an increase of 84.6 percent over the year. Production at Ukrainian refineries increased by 50.3 percent, to 329,700 tons.
