Next week, on March 16, the ethylene-polyethylene plant of AzeriKimya Production Union of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), which was stopped for scheduled repairs, will resume its work, director of the plant Oktay Niftaliyev told journalists, Report informs.
He said that the plant was suspended for repairs on April 4 this year, along with the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (an enterprise supplying raw materials).
Niftaliyev also added that before the planned repairs, the plant had been operating continuously for a year and a half.
The plant has been undergoing large-scale reconstruction and modernization since 2016. Based on the results of the project, the actual manufacture volume of the main products of AzeriKimya will increase twice, and some types of products - by three times.
