Today, a number of contracts were signed between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Turkish company BOTAS on natural gas supply, transportation and transit, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
The contracts signed following the agreement “On natural gas cooperation” between the two countries dated May 14, envisage the supply of natural gas by SOCAR to Türkiye, the delivery of Azerbaijani gas to the Bulgarian market through Türkiye, cooperation in gas supply to Nakhchivan and transportation of Turkmen gas to Türkiye through Azerbaijan and third countries.
At the ceremony, an agreement was also signed between the Azerbaijan Gas Supply Company and BOTAS, on the continuation of the gas supply from the Shah Deniz field to Türkiye.
The Economy Minister of Azerbaijan, Chairman of SOCAR Supervisory Board Mikayil Jabbarov and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye Alparslan Bayraktar participated in the signing ceremony.
