Russia can help Azerbaijan in upgrading its energy infrastructure, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Overchuk said at a plenary session of the Russian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Baku today, Report says.
He noted that the feasibility study for the project to connect the energy systems of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran is being prepared.
βIn addition, we are ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the field of non-energy nuclear. We will have another good reason to meet at the 11th Russia-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum scheduled in Azerbaijan this year.β
The deputy prime minister noted that the close and fruitful dialogue within the Intergovernmental Commission will contribute to the solution of strategic tasks, including the stabilization of the situation in the South Caucasus.
